Flora & Fauna Crown Solstice Swim (21 Dec)

Learn how to make a fresh-foliage crown and then wear it for a magical sunrise solstice swim

3 in stock

Learn how to make a fresh-foliage crown and then wear it for a magical sunrise solstice swim. All materials and direction will be provided.

Winter solstice is when the sun travels the shortest path through the sky, and that day therefore has the least daylight and the longest night. From this point on the days start to get lighter again as we head towards spring – something to celebrate! Gather in a small group to create your crown and then enjoy leisurely but cold swim to show off your creative headgear.

Expect cold, social swimming and a chance to learn a new skill. You might like a simple dip, a body immersion or a brief swim depending on how you handle the cold. Designed for a small group, risks and guidance will be outlined before you are encouraged into the water. The swim will vary depending on temperature of the water, experience of the group and weather conditions. Once dry and dressed, warm porridge and hot drinks will be provided.

Winter is a unique time to swim, often spending more time undressing and dressing than swimming. But offers natural highs, community spirit and a zing that will stay with you all day. This is a morning swim, designed to be about sharing the joy of the water. Expect chatter & laughter.

Take your crown home with you, wear it for the rest of the week if you want!
