A magical morning solstice swim
On Tuesday, June 21, the northern hemisphere will officially welcome the first day of summer, which is known as the summer solstice. There is no better way to celebrate solstice than to plunge into wild water. Join Dip Advisor for an early morning swim in the stunning Test Valley at a crystal clear private lake. Choose sunrise swim at 4.30am or a more comfortable time at 7am.
Learn how to make a fresh-foliage crown and then wear it for a magical morning swim. All materials and direction will be provided.
Summer solstice is when the sun travels the longest path through the sky, and that day therefore has the most daylight, it’s also marks the first day of summer- something to celebrate! Gather in a small group to create your crown and then enjoy leisurely, stunning swim to show off your creative headgear.
The location of the swim is extra special, fed by chalk streams it looks like an emerald lake. Expect a cool social swim and a chance to learn a new skill. Designed for a small group, risks and guidance will be outlined before you are encouraged into the water. Once dry and dressed, snacks and drinks will be provided.
This is a morning swim, designed to be about sharing the joy of the water. Expect chatter & laughter.
Take your crown home with you, wear it for the rest of the week if you want!
REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to swim. Comfortable with the idea of swimming outdoors. Suitable for beginners. Aged 16+
PRICE INCLUDES: Flowers, materials and instruction. Snacks and drinks.
